Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Telehealth & Medication Management Hope + Healing Counseling Position Overview Hope + Healing Counseling is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide telehealth-based psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who demonstrates strong clinical judgment, works independently, and is committed to delivering quality patient care in a virtual setting.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations through telehealth. Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications. Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up appointments. Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress. Manage an outpatient psychiatric caseload. Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare providers. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records. Ensure compliance with applicable telehealth, prescribing, and clinical regulations. Patient Population Provide psychiatric care for individuals experiencing conditions including: Depression and anxiety disorders ADHD and PTSD Bipolar disorder Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders Mood and trauma-related disorders Other psychiatric and behavioral health conditions Experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults is preferred.
Qualifications
Required: Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program. Current PMHNP-BC certification. Active RN and appropriate APRN licensure in the state(s) where patients receive care. Prescriptive authority and DEA registration, as applicable. Experience in psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in a telehealth environment. Preferred: Previous telehealth psychiatric experience. Experience managing a diverse outpatient psychiatric caseload.
