Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

About the Position We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality psychiatric care through telehealth. This is a fully remote 1099 independent contractor position, ideal for a provider who is licensed in multiple states and comfortable delivering telepsychiatry services independently. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management via telehealth. Assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of mental health conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with applicable regulations. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans when clinically appropriate. Educate patients about diagnoses, medications, potential side effects, and treatment goals. Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with therapists, care coordinators, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, telehealth, and state-specific requirements. Follow ethical and professional standards of psychiatric practice. QualificationsActive and unrestricted PMHNP certification. Active Nurse Practitioner license in at least one state. Multiple state licenses strongly preferred. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing. Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or psychiatric medication management. DEA registration preferred or required based on prescribing responsibilities. Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.
