Job Title :QA Engineer Automated 2 (Remote)Location :Austin, TXDuration :12 MonthsJob Description :The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and / or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology - Statewide Education Data System).Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.This position will work with the Client development team to provide the following Software Testing Services :Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test casesCreate and execute automated functional and regression test cases against HTML, PDF, and Excel Reports, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detailPerform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate dataWork with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the teamExecute performance and accessibility testingPerform manual testing and data validationThe QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps / projects in the client.Candidate Skills and Qualifications :Minimum Requirements :Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills / experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.YearsRequired / PreferredExperienceTesting complex Web ApplicationsTesting all phases of Software Development Life CycleTesting automation experience with Selenium and TestNGAdvanced Database / SQL LanguageExperience with Java Programming LanguageExperience Using Apache POI and Apache PDF BoxExperience with WAPT Pro, JMeter, or other performance testing toolsPreferredExperience parsing WebTables to Verify ResultsPreferredPrevious experience with reputed company Scale preferredPreferredPrevious experience with JIRA preferred.
