We are looking for a skilled Software QA Engineer with strong experience in software quality assurance, database testing, API testing, and data validation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SQL, test management tools such as JIRA/Xray, and exposure to ETL testing, data integration, and cloud-based data workflows. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, application reliability, and overall product quality through effective testing strategies and defect management.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, database, and API testing to ensure application quality and reliability. Write and execute SQL queries to validate database records, data integrity, data transformations, and business rules. Conduct API testing to validate endpoints, request and response payloads, status codes, error handling, and data consistency. Perform data validation and reconciliation across source and target systems. Support ETL testing and data integration testing to verify data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Validate data flows across applications, databases, and cloud-based data platforms. Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test execution reports using JIRA/Xray or similar test management tools. Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the software testing lifecycle. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues. Prepare test summary reports, communicate testing progress, and ensure testing deliverables meet quality standards. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and overall product quality. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong experience in software quality assurance and software testing methodologies. Hands-on experience with database testing, SQL queries, API testing, and data validation. Good working knowledge of JIRA/Xray and test management processes. Exposure to ETL testing, data integration, and cloud-based data workflows. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and defect management skills. Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and defect life cycle.
