QA / Test Engineer — Trading Systems (Part-Time Contract)

IntelliTrade is a trading-intelligence platform for retail options and futures traders — real-time SPX gamma exposure, defined-risk 0DTE spreads and iron condors, broker-integrated execution, and a published trade record. The product is built and running in a test environment. Before it goes public, I want someone whose job is to break it. What we are looking for Someone who has tested trading systems — US markets, ideally options, bonus if you’ve worked around high-frequency or low-latency execution. The combination I’d love to find, knowing it’s rare: Functional testing of order flow, position tracking, P&L, and market-hours behavior Test automation (API and UI) Some penetration testing — auth, session handling, broker-credential paths, API abuse An eye for usability: what a real trader would trip over at 9:31 AM If you have two of the four and are strong at them, still reach out. What the work looks like Part-time contract to start, a few hours a day during US market hours. Possibility of extension; I’m looking for someone long-term if it works. Mostly remote. I’ll want a video call and regular touchpoint meetings. Deliverable is a proper report: defects, security and vulnerability findings, usability issues, and what you tried that didn’t break. Before we get on a call, send me a report of what you found — errors, security gaps, usability problems, pen-test results, whatever you’d put in front of a product owner. I’d rather see how you think as a tester than spend hours talking about it. The quality of that first report decides the next round. Location US-based preferred. I’m not considering out-of-country applications unless you have real, demonstrable experience with US options markets and trading systems.
