QAD Developer :: W2 :: Remote
QAD Developer – RemoteLocation: Marietta, GA (Remote) Must-Have Skills 5–7+ years of overall QAD experience. Strong hands-on experience in QAD Distribution and/or Manufacturing, preferably across multiple modules. Strong understanding of Supply Chain business processes. Experience with QAD Application Management Services (AMS) engagements. Hands-on experience with: Requirement analysis and design Development and customization Unit and integration testing Production support and troubleshooting Strong Progress OpenEdge / Progress 4GL development experience. Ability to independently: Code and modify Progress 4GL programs Debug QAD issues Develop and customize QAD screens Troubleshoot QAD applications Perform testing and issue resolution Experience providing L2/L3 application support. Strong incident and problem-management skills. Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions. Good communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly learn new functionality and resolve recurring incidents. Good-to-Have SkillsExperience with one or more QAD add-on modules, such as: QAD QXtend QAD Warehouse Management System (WMS) QAD Forecasting & Demand Planning Additional experience with production/support environments is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical and functional support for QAD applications. Own incidents from initial reporting through final resolution. Perform incident and problem management. Conduct RCA and develop action plans for recurring or critical issues. Develop solutions for: Minor enhancements Bug fixes Application modifications Production issues Debug and troubleshoot QAD/Progress OpenEdge applications. Develop and modify QAD screens and Progress 4GL programs. Perform unit and integration testing. Follow Change Management and Release Management processes. Participate in audit and compliance activities. Maintain and update the Knowledge Base / Known Error Database. Document best practices and technical solutions. Participate in technology and functional meetings with stakeholders. Interact directly with customers for meetings, technical discussions, issue resolution, and requirements. Support continuous improvement of QAD applications and production-support processes.
