[Remote] Accounts Payable Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Texas Measurements Inc. is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage day-to-day accounts payable activities. The role processes invoices and payments, maintains vendor and accounting records, handles expense reports and discrepancies, and supports month-end closing and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable activities for Texas Measurements Inc
• This position processes vendor invoices, verifies accuracy against purchase orders and contracts, and ensures timely payments while adhering to company policies
• The role includes maintaining vendor records, preparing and posting accounting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing tasks
• The specialist will also review and process employee expense reports, resolve invoice and payment discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams to support accurate financial reporting

Skills

• Strong Accounting and Finance skills, including foundational knowledge of accounts payable processes
• Experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger postings
• Proficiency in managing Expense Reports, including verification, coding, and adherence to company policies
• Solid Analytical Skills
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Familiarity with basic ERP or billing systems
• An associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
