[Remote] accounts receivable insurance specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gastro Health is seeking an experienced AR Insurance Collection Specialist for its Revenue Cycle team. The role works outstanding insurance accounts receivable, follows up with payers, researches denials and underpayments, submits appeals, and drives claims to resolution.

Responsibilities

• This individual will be responsible for working outstanding insurance accounts receivable, following up with payers, researching denials and underpayments, submitting appeals, and driving claims to resolution

Skills

• 2+ years of Healthcare AR/Insurance Collections experience
• Insurance follow-up and denial management experience
• Experience working aging AR (30/60/90/120+ day accounts)
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payers
• Ability to investigate unpaid or underpaid claims
• Appeals and claim resolution experience
• Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes
• Physician practice or multi-specialty experience
• High-volume collections environment
• Experience with Epic, Athena, NextGen, eCW, or similar EMR/PM systems
