[Remote] AI Data Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Agility Partners is recruiting for an unnamed global technology company seeking an AI Data Engineer to modernize roadmap and portfolio data management and reporting for its hardware planning organization. The role focuses on automating workflows, integrating data across platforms, and replacing manual reporting with governed Power BI dashboards and AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assess current workflows, baseline manual effort, and prioritize automation opportunities based on impact
• Integrate data from SharePoint, ADO, Excel, and cross-organization databases into a governed single source of truth, including automated refresh and data-quality checks
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and AI use cases covering change summaries, data reconciliation, natural-language Q&A, and report automation
• Document solutions, train end users, and report on measurable impact such as hours saved, cycle-time reduction, and improved data quality

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics automation
• 2+ years of experience building production generative-AI solutions (e.g., Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, AI Builder, our client 365 Copilot)
• Expert-level Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), refresh scheduling, deployment, and row-level security
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps queries, Analytics/OData, and REST APIs; Power Automate; SharePoint Online; advanced Excel; SQL; and Python
• Demonstrated experience using AI to improve workflow or operational efficiency (required; candidates without this experience will not be considered)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and executive-ready visuals
• Experience with AI workload optimization in an enterprise environment, aggregating data across multiple platforms/systems, and Power BI dashboard development is highly preferred
• Prior experience with a large technology enterprise is a plus
• Experience with hardware, supply-chain, or product roadmap and portfolio data
• Familiarity with our client Fabric, Dataverse, or KQL; Power Platform ALM and Git
• Relevant certifications in Power BI, Fabric, Power Platform, or Azure AI
