[Remote] AI Engineer - Mid

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Take2 Consulting, LLC is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy intelligent systems that address business and customer challenges. The role involves building production-ready AI and machine-learning applications, integrating generative AI and large language models into products and workflows, and monitoring and improving AI systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy AI and machine-learning applications
• Develop solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, embeddings, and prompt engineering
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing products, platforms, and business workflows
• Build data pipelines and supporting services for model training, evaluation, and inference
• Establish evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, reliability, safety, latency, and cost
• Monitor and improve AI systems in production
• Implement responsible AI practices, including privacy, security, bias mitigation, and human oversight
• Document architecture, technical decisions, experiments, and operational procedures
• Stay current with developments in AI research, tools, platforms, and engineering best practices

Skills

• The ability to obtain and maintain a Dept of VA Public Trust security clearance is required for this role
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or a related technical role
• 3+ years of experience in Python and with software development best practices
• 3+ years of experience with generative AI and large language models
• Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, databases, version control, testing, and CI/CD
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, Artificial Intelligence Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Docker, Amazon SageMaker, and Jupyter Lab
• Understanding of machine-learning concepts, model evaluation, and data preparation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, or similar tools
• Experience with vector databases and retrieval systems
• Knowledge of MLOps, model monitoring, and scalable inference systems
• Knowledge of responsible AI, data privacy, and AI security practices
• Experience delivering AI solutions from prototype through production
• Familiarity with Salesforce and MuleSoft is preferred
