Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Life360 is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to support its advertising business. The role advises product, engineering, marketing, and ads teams on product development, privacy, consumer protection, content regulation, and related legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise ads engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle. The Life360 Ads Platform includes an SSP and a DSP business, among other products and services
- Provide counsel on privacy and data protection matters related to ad tech, ensuring compliance with regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA
- Advise on content regulation matters - including ads content policies and enforcement - to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Advise on marketing matters related to the B2B ads business
- Monitor and provide guidance on evolving international privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations in the ad-tech space, helping Life360 stay ahead of regulatory trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies
Skills
- 5+ years of legal experience in product counseling and privacy counseling in the ad-tech space is a prerequisite, including experience directly advising software product managers and engineers
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience advising software product managers and engineers on consumer protection matters
- J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar
- CIPP/US certification preferred
