[Remote] AWS RDS DBA (PostgreSQL) / Cloud Database Operations Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Quebec Solution Inc is seeking a cloud database operations professional for a long-term remote contract. The role administers AWS RDS PostgreSQL environments, manages high availability and disaster recovery, performs performance tuning, enforces security, automates operations, and provides advanced production support.

Responsibilities

• Administer RDS PostgreSQL across Dev, Test, Staging, DR, and Prod
• Manage Multi-AZ, read replicas, parameter/option/security groups
• Tune queries, indexes, memory, and connections; resolve deadlocks, lock contention, and replication latency
• Own backup, PITR, restore, and DR validation (RTO/RPO)
• Enforce security: roles, encryption, audit logging
• Automate with Lambda, Terraform, Python, Systems Manager
• L2/L3 support, on-call rotation and P1/P2 incident response

Skills

• Deep PostgreSQL administration and AWS RDS experience
• Performance tuning using Performance Insights and CloudWatch
• HA and DR design in regulated enterprise environments
