Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Steelwater Ltd builds software for healthcare environments. The Backend and Data Engineer will build and review a Cloudflare Workers and D1 data layer for a hospital pilot, including event ingestion, schema design, data modeling, aggregate reporting, and disclosure control that prevents individual identification.
Responsibilities
- Build the Cloudflare Workers endpoint that receives event data over HTTPS, store it in D1, and produce aggregate reporting on top of it
- Review the existing Workers and D1 setup from an earlier phase; reviewing it is in scope and time-boxed
- Read the complete written specification and return questions, gaps, and anything you would build differently
Skills
- Production experience with Cloudflare Workers and D1, or equivalent serverless platforms
- Schema design and data modeling as a core skill, not an adjacent one
- The judgment to flag an ambiguous requirement before building against it
