[Remote] Billing Operations Analyst Energy Sector

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Indra Energy is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst to support billing operations, customer enrollment processing, compliance reporting, and account management. The role monitors and reconciles utility transactions, validates enrollment data, prepares compliance filings, and analyzes billing and energy usage data to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Use third-party software to monitor customer accounts and high-volume utility transactions
• Process incoming customer accounts, identify data validation errors, and perform necessary data repairs to ensure successful enrollment submissions to utilities
• Reconcile utility transactions and efficiently resolve exceptions or billing discrepancies
• Compile, analyze, and format compliance-required filings using regulatory commission templates at the request of the Legal and Regulatory department
• Review, correct, and audit customer communications and billing data to ensure accuracy
• Analyze billing patterns and energy usage data to proactively identify and resolve systemic issues
• Monitor daily tasks and emails to ensure timely responses; cross-train and act as a backup for co-worker duties as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or experience in a similar role
• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis and reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
• Preferably within energy or public utilities
• Ability to write basic queries/lookups is highly preferred
