[Remote] Build Platform Engineer (Bazel)

They are seeking a hands-on Build Platform Engineer to support build and CI infrastructure, troubleshoot failures and performance issues, manage CI agents, and improve operational readiness and developer workflows in large-scale monorepo environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on build and CI support to mobile, backend, and data engineers, helping diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues
• Manage and troubleshoot CI agents, including health, capacity, failures, and other operational issues
• Investigate CI failures, flakiness, and performance problems, then drive issues through to resolution
• Support urgent build requests, collaborate across related platform teams, and improve runbooks for better operational response

Skills

• Experience investigating build failures, CI failures, flakiness, and performance problems through to resolution
• Platform and infrastructure experience with a broad understanding of CI/CD build infrastructure
• Hands on experience with Bazel platform
• Hands-on experience supporting large-scale platform infrastructure and operating systems rather than only designing them
• Ability to handle urgent developer support requests, manage priorities, and communicate clearly across overlapping time zones
• Self-driven, pragmatic approach with attention to detail, operational flexibility, and follow-through in a service-oriented environment
