Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Prospects Universe is a college baseball recruiting advisory that helps players and families navigate school targeting, recruiting materials, coach outreach, follow-up, and the path to college baseball. The Business Development Associate will help grow the company through partnerships, recruiting initiatives, content ideas, events, player outreach, and other growth activities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and contact travel organizations, academies, coaches, trainers, and baseball decision-makers
- Help build academy partnerships and new referral channels
- Research new business opportunities, including events, combines, player databases, scouting, and recruiting tools
- Assist with outreach, follow-up, social-media initiatives, and partnership materials
- Research competitors, pricing, market opportunities, and potential new services
- Help test and launch new growth initiatives alongside the founder
- Keep organized notes on outreach, partnerships, and project progress
Skills
- • Comfortable with cold calls, email, text, and social-media outreach
- • Strong communication and organization skills
- • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently
- • Interest in sports business, recruiting, sales, partnerships, or entrepreneurship
- • Available 10 to 20 hours per week remotely
- • Baseball background strongly preferred
