[Remote] Business Intelligence Data Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. IBM is hiring a Business Intelligence Data Engineer to design, build, and manage web-based BI reporting solutions. The role integrates BI platforms and develops, distributes, and optimizes reporting tools such as dashboards and scorecards.

Responsibilities

• Design and build web-based BI reporting solutions that offer personalized features, such as drill-down capabilities and intuitive design kits, to enhance user experience
• Integrate Business Intelligence Platforms to enable users to easily toggle between reporting and analysis tasks, promoting efficient workflow and informed decision-making
• Develop and manage reporting tools, such as dashboards and scorecards, to facilitate data analysis and distribution via various channels, including the web, email, portals, and file servers
• Manage the distribution of reports and solutions through various channels, ensuring timely and secure delivery to stakeholders
• Optimize solution performance to ensure seamless user experience, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with designing and building web-based BI reporting solutions, including personalized features and intuitive design kits
• Experience with integrating Business Intelligence Platforms to enable seamless toggling between reporting and analysis tasks
• Experience with developing and managing reporting tools, such as dashboards and scorecards, using technologies like Cognos, Actuate, MicroStrategy, Tableau, and Click
• Experience with managing the distribution of reports and solutions through various channels, including the web, email, portals, and file servers
• Certification in or experience with business intelligence technologies, including data visualization and reporting tools

• Experience with dashboard development tools like Tableau and Click would be beneficial in creating interactive and user-friendly dashboards for data analysis and visualization
• Exposure to scorecard development using technologies like Cognos, Actuate, and MicroStrategy would be advantageous in creating comprehensive scorecards for performance measurement and evaluation
• Experience with data visualization concepts and techniques would be valuable in designing and building effective web-based BI reporting solutions with intuitive design kits
