Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. FUSTIS LLC is recruiting for a State of Wisconsin cloud engineering role focused on enterprise hybrid cloud environments. The Certified Cloud Engineer will design, implement, secure, operate, and optimize AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and related platforms while collaborating with development, security, architecture, vendor, and IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and support hybrid private/public cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, and related technologies
- Provide technical guidance on cloud architecture, networking, compute, storage, databases, security, monitoring, logging, and automation
- Review and validate vendor-proposed cloud architectures and configurations and identify technical risks or gaps
- Work closely with .NET development teams on application deployment, integration, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and environment management
- Support DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including application deployment, API integration, containers, configuration management, and automation
- Implement cloud security controls including IAM, least privilege, encryption, network security, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery
- Perform complex programming, scripting, configuration, automation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Establish operational procedures, monitoring standards, incident response processes, and maintenance practices
- Document cloud architecture, configurations, dependencies, operational procedures, and support requirements
- Provide ongoing cloud operations, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve security, performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Mentor internal staff and provide knowledge transfer to support long-term ownership of the environment
Skills
- 90–100% Remote / Hybrid — WI residents only or candidates willing to relocate to Wisconsin within 30 days at their own expense
- Occasional onsite work may be required
- Candidate must provide their own equipment for remote work
- 3+ years designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- 5+ years supporting CI/CD pipelines, application deployment, API integration, containers, configuration management, and DevSecOps practices
- 5+ years of programming, scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure/application issues
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, security, scalability, and high availability
- Experience working with application development teams, particularly in .NET environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with vendors, architects, developers, security teams, and technical/non-technical stakeholders
- 3+ years cloud experience within a regulated organization
- 5+ years Infrastructure as Code
- 5+ years application containerization
- 5+ years CI/CD using GitHub
- 5+ years enterprise networking, observability, and cost optimization/discipline
- 5+ years Windows and .NET literacy
