[Remote] Client Accountant — Remote (CPA Firm)

Responsibilities

• Take client books from junior-accountant prep to done: review, correct, resolve open items, and close
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts — find what's wrong and fix it, not just flag it
• Identify accounting issues before they become tax issues
• Run client calls and emails to resolve open items
• Organize and enter client tax documents; prepare workpapers for business and individual returns
• Use reputed company tools daily to speed up reviews, analysis, and close processes
• Help build repeatable review and close processes

Skills

• You need to have worked in a multi-client environment
• You've worked in a CPA firm, public accounting firm, or client accounting/bookkeeping practice
• You personally reconcile bank accounts
• You've run a monthly close in QuickBooks Online
• You've inherited messy books and fixed them
• You're comfortable on the phone with a business owner
• You have some tax exposure
• You're self-directed
• You want to learn
• CCH reputed company is a plus, not a requirement

• CPA or EA is a plus, not required
