Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Healthcare Shares is a physician-backed healthcare venture capital firm and ecosystem supporting healthcare startups, founders, and innovation. The Member of the Board of Advisors – Commercial Sales Operations will provide strategic guidance on growth, partnerships, investment priorities, market opportunities, ecosystem development, and founder support while contributing industry expertise and relevant connections.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on Healthcare Shares’ growth, positioning, partnerships, investment focus, and long-term vision
- Advise on healthcare market trends, emerging opportunities, startup evaluation, founder support, and social impact strategy
- Contribute leadership insight across areas such as clinical care, healthcare operations, digital health, biotech, medical devices, pharma, payer/provider strategy, healthcare AI, investing, or entrepreneurship
- Support Healthcare Shares by offering relevant introductions, perspective, and expertise to strengthen the firm’s ecosystem and portfolio support
- Participate in periodic board-related discussions and contribute thoughtful recommendations based on your professional background and area of expertise
Skills
- Significant experience in healthcare, medicine, life sciences, venture capital, startups, healthcare operations, digital health, medical devices, biotech, pharma, healthcare AI, or related fields
- Senior leadership, board, advisory, investing, entrepreneurial, clinical, executive, or operating experience preferred
- Strong professional network within healthcare, investment, startup, clinical, hospital, payer, provider, pharma, biotech, health technology, or innovation ecosystems
- Ability to provide strategic, practical, and mission-aligned guidance to support healthcare startups and the broader Healthcare Shares platform
- Ability to commit approximately 2–4 hours per month to board participation and strategic advisory activities
