A financial services firm is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support enterprise data governance initiatives focused on secure and permanent data deletion. The role involves developing data deletion controls, managing metadata across Azure data environments, identifying governance and compliance gaps, and coordinating project activities and stakeholder communications.
Responsibilities
- Support enterprise data governance initiatives focused on secure and permanent data deletion
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to develop and implement data deletion controls and governance processes
- Perform dataset discovery, inventory, and metadata management across Azure data environments
- Analyze data and processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improved governance and compliance
- Coordinate project activities, track deliverables, and communicate status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
Skills
- Experience with data governance, data management, data controls, data privacy, or data lifecycle management
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, and PySpark
- Experience developing and executing test plans and validating data controls
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a project environment
- Strong data analysis, communication, and project management skills
- Experience with secure data deletion initiatives
- Background in financial services or enterprise data environments
