[Remote] Design Manager- Data Center Engineering

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SB Energy is hiring a Design Manager to oversee hyper-scale data center projects from site due diligence and campus planning through design, construction documents, and construction administration. The role leads multidisciplinary design teams and manages project delivery, stakeholder communication, and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center due diligence and design teams to deliver projects that meet the client’s requirements, on schedule and to a high degree of quality. Design disciplines will include architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, fire protection, ICT, and BMS/EPMS
• Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans
• Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders
• Proactively manage and communicate change throughout the project
• Identify problems early and develop creative solutions
• Proactively communicate with all stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve outstanding issues
• Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects
• Develop trusting relationships with client stakeholders/buyers

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Experience with data center design management & engineering
• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Active or recent leadership in data center and mission-critical trade organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in dynamic
• Team leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
