[Remote] Dev Ops Engineer III

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. mPulse is a healthcare technology company focused on conversational AI and member engagement. The company is seeking a DevOps Engineer III to support its DevOps strategy, enable continuous software delivery, and contribute to scalable, highly available infrastructure on AWS. The role also involves production monitoring, incident response, security and compliance collaboration, and mentoring junior DevOps engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of the company's DevOps strategy
• Work with development, product, and the rest of the DevOps team to ensure that software is delivered to production quickly and with confidence
• Contribute to the design and deployment of scalable, highly available infrastructure and systems on AWS using Hashicorp suite of tools; Nomad, Consul, Vault and Terraform
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that their work is integrated into the company's DevOps pipeline in a seamless and efficient manner
• Assist in the management of the company's source code repository on Github and enforce best practices for code review and branching
• Monitor the health and performance of the company's production systems and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support and incident response for critical production systems
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that the company's DevOps processes and infrastructure meet industry standards and regulations
• Provide guidance to DevOps Engineer I, II and serve as team mentor
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Communicates and collaborates with product developers, direct manager and engineering peers to develop the correct solution
• Is responsive to assigned Bugs / hotfixes
• Has successfully completed and released production code
• Demonstrates ability to describe mPulse business and client base
• Contributes regularly to technical discussions
• Has demonstrated repeated technical project success
• Makes effective use of development environment and tools
• Ability to stand and sit for an extended period of time

Skills

• * 5+ years of experience with DevOps practices, tools, and technologies, including experience with continuous integration, deployment, and delivery
• * Understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS Experience with deploying and managing infrastructure on these platforms using tools such as Github Actions, Nomad, Consul, Vault, and Terraform
• * Experience with managing source code repositories, particularly Github, and adhering to best practices for code review and branching
• * Understanding of Linux/Unix systems and experience with shell and python scripting
• * Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production systems
• * Experience with security and compliance in a DevOps environment, including an understanding of industry standards and regulations
• * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• * Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• * Communicates and collaborates with product developers, direct manager and engineering peers to develop the correct solution
