Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. L3Harris Technologies is hiring a Director of Finance to lead a newly established Independent Review function and assess the financial uncertainty and execution confidence of proposals. The role conducts Independent Cost Estimate reviews and partners with company leadership to strengthen estimating expectations and frameworks for the proposal process.

Responsibilities

• Creation and maintenance of a Corporate Independent Cost Estimate Review calendar
• Preparation of Independent Cost Estimate outputs to drive decision making at Segment and Corporate proposal reviews
• Advise on any functional estimating initiatives, and help establish estimating factors to more easily evaluate bids
• Partner with Program Excellence organization to coordinate joint Non-Advocate Reviews, Baseline Reviews, and Program Assessment Reviews as required
• Develop Independent Review discipline within finance in order to build and expand a review team
• Travel up to 25% of the time

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience
• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
• Minimum of 12 years experience in defense contracting environment, proposals, and financial positions
• The ideal candidate has had experience working large proposal activities, and has led aspects of independent cost / proposal reviews
• The candidate should be detail oriented with good organizational skills and capable of multi-tasking, with an ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision
• Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to evaluate all aspects of financial data generated for a proposal offering, including labor and material estimates, subcontract quotes, special contract clauses, and cash flow models
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Capable in modeling, scenario analysis
• Able to successfully work across mutliple functions
• Able to meet deadlines and operate to short timeline efforts
