[Remote] Director of Business Development

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Will's Talent is recruiting for an unnamed early-stage energy technology company. The Business Development Director will build the company's sales operation, win business for its workforce management platform, and help shape commercial strategy, target markets, and product development.

Responsibilities

• Leverage your existing relationships across oil and gas operators, oilfield services companies, and specialized contractors to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
• Work directly with Operations Managers, Project Managers, and senior decision-makers to understand their workforce, staffing, and mobilization challenges, then demonstrate how the technology can solve them
• Develop relationships with key accounts, turning initial project wins into long-term strategic partnerships
• Collaborate directly with the founders to shape commercial strategy, identify new markets, and influence product development based on customer feedback

Skills

• You'll need an established network within oil and gas, energy services, or specialized technical staffing , alongside a proven track record of winning new business
• You'll also need strong technical knowledge of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) or closely related drilling disciplines , with enough industry credibility to hold your own in conversations with experienced operations professionals
• Your background could be in oilfield services, energy staffing and recruitment, operational leadership, or a technical field role that has developed into a commercial career
