[Remote] Director of Business Development & Chief of Staff

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. A small, rapidly growing pharmaceutical company is seeking a Director of Business Development and Chief of Staff. The role partners with senior leadership to coordinate company priorities, support executive decisions and business performance, and evaluate and execute licensing, acquisition, and strategic collaboration opportunities.

Responsibilities

• This role reports to the Chief Growth Officer and serves as a strategic and execution partner to senior leadership, translating company priorities into coordinated action across the Company’s operating businesses and growth initiatives
• The role will drive executive decision support, cross-functional accountability, business performance reviews, special projects, and organizational follow-through
• This role will also support the evaluation and execution of licensing, acquisition, and strategic collaboration opportunities by coordinating diligence, synthesizing recommendations, and ensuring that decisions are converted into clear workplans, owners, and timelines
• This person must work closely with senior leadership and various functional area and commercial leaders across the organization

Skills

• Investment banking or private credit experience in the healthcare marketplace required
• The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare, private credit or investment banking at the Associate level, evaluating and identifying products that are likely targets
• The ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced and non-bureaucratic environment is critical for success
• Fluency and experience with AI analysis and the use of innovative tools to quickly identify potential targets will be key
