[Remote] Director of Technology & Data Operations

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Well is hiring on behalf of a growing, retirement-focused financial advisory firm. The Director of Technology & Data Operations will oversee the firm’s technology stack, lead a distributed operations team, complete an Addepar launch, and advance automation and AI use.

Responsibilities

• Own the tech stack: Wealthbox, Orion, Addepar, Microsoft 365, Claude, MoneyGuide Pro Elite, and more
• Bring an Addepar launch across the finish line: client portal, data feeds, and reconciliation to Orion
• Lead a team of five: two U.S.-based analysts and three offshore virtual data professionals
• Shape a brand-new role reporting to the Chief Administration Officer
• Put AI and automation to work with Power Automate, Claude, and integrations that cut manual data entry

Skills

• 7+ years in operations, technology, and/or systems roles in wealth management, financial services, or RIA-focused fintech
• Deep, hands-on Wealthbox experience: administration, workflows, reporting, and rollout or migration
• Hands-on experience with Orion or Addepar and how portfolio platforms connect to a CRM
• 3+ years leading people
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft 365
• You build processes, document them, and teach others to use them well
• Comfort owning technology without an internal IT department
• Ideally including remote or offshore team members
