[Remote] Engineering Manager, FDE Agentic Platform

The Engineering Manager will lead a North American Deployment Engineering team of Forward Deployed Engineers, overseeing the development and deployment of agentic solutions in on-premises enterprise environments. The role combines hands-on technical leadership, customer success, cross-functional collaboration, and team development across critical sectors such as finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers focused on building agentic solutions with North in on-premises environments
• Take ownership of customer success from technical implementation through delivery
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape how we deliver AI to enterprises
• Build relationships with technical stakeholders on the customer end
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, focusing on bringing agentic solutions to every step of the development process
• Define and implement processes that scale agent development and deployment across multiple client environments

Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
• Experience managing engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise software at scale, with focus on agentic applications
• High agency - you don't wait for permission to solve problems
• A doer mentality - you dig in, get stuff done, and can execute in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and business audiences
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure
• Background in enterprise security and compliance
