[Remote] Executive Director, Accounting - Pharmacy Services

CVS Health is hiring an Executive Director of Accounting for Pharmacy Services to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate, timely recording of financial transactions. The role leads financial reporting, budgeting, accounting controls and processes, compliance, and a team responsible for maintaining financial data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Leads department and manages the day to day accounting operations, including the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements and ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
• Ensures compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls by developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to standards
• Leads the working capital budgeting and forecasting process for accounting areas owned, collaborating with relevant teams to develop accurate and realistic plans
• Develops relationships with leaders across the organization to provide financial insights and support business initiatives
• Formulates financial strategies and long-term plans in collaboration with senior management by providing financial expertise and insights to support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals
• Implements best practices, technology solutions, and process improvements to optimize financial operations
• Manages operational aspects of the team, including budget, performance, and compliance; and implements workforce and succession plans to meet business needs
• Establishes performance expectations, provides guidance and feedback, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement

Skills

• 12+ years of relevant work experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry and/or matrixed organizations
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA Required
• Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
• Adept at business intelligence
• Adept at collaboration and teamwork
• Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills
• Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
