Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Savannah Search Ltd is recruiting for an unnamed early-stage real estate development client focused on community living. The Finance Lead will own project underwriting and valuation, support financing and partner selection, and lead diligence and negotiations for new developments.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite new sites from first principles and build the models that decide which projects go ahead
- Value mixed-use schemes that bring several asset classes together in one place
- Choose development partners and raise project financing for live deals
- Lead diligence and negotiate directly with landowners, brokers, JV partners and capital partners
- Get out on the ground, building trust with local stakeholders and making the case for each project in person
- Pick up whatever will move the business forward. There are no rigid lanes here
Skills
- 3–6 years in ground-up real estate development, real estate private equity or project finance
- Experience beyond acquisitions
- The ability to explain complex deals simply
- Hands-on negotiation and diligence experience: you've been at the table
- High EQ, low ego and a natural relationship builder
- A mission-driven outlook
- Ideally across site evaluation, planning and entitlements, partner selection and capital raising
- Strong underwriting skills across asset classes
- Mixed-use experience is a real plus
