[Remote] Financial Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lynch Consultants is seeking a Financial Analyst to support a Department of Defense government agency. The role provides financial and program management support, including invoice processing, financial analysis, payment issue resolution, audit support, and coordination with government accounting and contracting staff.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain financial obligations, invoices, reconciliations, and payment data in accounting systems
• Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, proper certification, and timely payment
• Maintain contract payment files, resolve discrepancies, and research payment or disbursement issues
• Analyze aged obligations along with accounts payable and receivable balances to support financial oversight
• Assist with customer order entry, provide financial information to internal and external stakeholders, and support audits
• Prepare and update standard operating procedures, internal controls, and coordinate with government accounting and contracting staff

Skills

• MUST have a BA/BS
• MUST have 3+ years of Federal experience
• MUST have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance
• MUST be a U.S Citizen
• MUST have a strong understanding of DOD financial operation
• MUST have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Experience in accounting
• Experience with having knowledge with DAI system
