[Remote] Financial Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SoTalent is seeking a Financial Analyst to evaluate and structure energy and infrastructure-related opportunities. The role develops and audits financial models, validates commercial assumptions, and supports deal negotiations, pricing, and investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models used for project evaluation, pricing, and transaction analysis
• Audit existing models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established methodologies
• Develop customized financial models for opportunities that fall outside standard pricing frameworks
• Partner with Business Development, Program, and Project teams to validate commercial, operational, and financial assumptions
• Translate complex financial outputs into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders and decision-makers
• Support deal structuring, scenario analysis, and negotiation processes through data-driven recommendations
• Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess potential risks, opportunities, and investment outcomes
• Analyze capital structures, financing arrangements, and funding strategies to optimize project performance
• Evaluate investment opportunities using discounted cash flow (DCF) methodologies and other financial analysis techniques
• Present financial findings, model assumptions, and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 1–3 years of experience in financial modeling, corporate finance, project finance, investment analysis, or a related analytical role
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling best practices
• Strong understanding of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), discount rates, and cost of capital concepts
• Experience building and maintaining complex financial models from the ground up
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve modeling issues
