BayCare Health System is hiring a Financial Assistance Spec to identify uninsured emergency room patients who may qualify for financial or social assistance through community agencies. The role involves interviewing patients, documenting activities, connecting patients with external resources, and tracking interactions and eligibility information electronically.

Responsibilities

• Identifies uninsured emergency room patients who may qualify for financial or social assistance through community agencies
• Conducts interviews, documents all activities clearly, and may serve as a liaison between patients and external resources
• Utilizes electronic systems to track and manage patient interactions and eligibility information

Skills

• 3 years Healthcare customer service, preferably Financial Assistance OR Social Services with a High School Diploma OR 1 year Healthcare customer service, preferably Financial Assistance OR Social Services with an Associate's Degree
