The company is seeking a Frontend Engineer to create intuitive, responsive, and visually engaging web applications, build and integrate frontend components, support product functionality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Build frontend pages and components for cloud and on-premises web applications
- Consistently create maintainable, testable, performant working code that meets the needs of and delights customers
- Perform start-to-end tasks required of a small cross functional team to deliver and support new functionality in SaaS and on-premises product solutions
- Work with product managers and product owners to identify, prioritize, design, and implement new features and functionality
- Maintain awareness of industry trends that relate to UX and UI best practices
- Providing technical support for existing applications, systems, and infrastructure as needed
- Actively promote and adhere to agile principles
- Assist in setting priorities and managing resources to achieve unit and corporate goals
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs
- Assist Product, QA, and Support teams in solving customer problems
- Mentor other team members on proven design patterns, coding best practices, and other areas of expertise
Skills
- • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, web development or equivalent experience
- • Competence with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, React.js
- • Experience consuming REST-ful APIs
- • Experience with a collaborative, version-controlled development process on platforms like Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or GitHub
- • Experience building performant, complex user interfaces for web applications
- • Ability to independently solve technical problems in a virtual work environment, collaborate when necessary, and proactively ask for help
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Ability to work well with others, particularly cross-functional team members and customers, such as designers, QA, product owners, etc
- • Frontend technologies: Material UI, Typescript, Redux Toolkit, NPM, Webpack
- • Backend technologies: C#, .NET Core, SQL, Docker, Postman
- • Reporting tools & libraries: Power BI, D3
- • CI/CD & test automation: Azure DevOps, AWS, Playwright, Vitest, Storybook
- • Development processes: Git flow, Agile development, SCRUM
- • Provide UX expertise and leadership with a focus on positive customer outcomes
- • Security-oriented mindset and expertise mitigating frontend supply-chain risks
- • Experience building products that meet compliance standards such as FedRAMP, PCI DSS, GDPR, or HIPAA
- • Full-stack expertise - Able to own backend and frontend implementation for a feature or project using technologies like:
- • C# frameworks & libraries: NuGet, Dapper, SignalR
- • Databases: SQL Server, Postgres, Redis, MongoDB
- • Orchestration & queue management: Temporal, RabbitMQ
- • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and balance delivering robust well-engineered web solutions with solving critical problems quickly
