[Remote] IBM MQ Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. IntegrationPath LLC is seeking an experienced IBM MQ Administrator to support and enhance enterprise messaging infrastructure for its clients. The role focuses on day-to-day platform administration, availability and security, troubleshooting, and upgrade and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch IBM MQ on Linux, and/or MQ Appliances
• Create and manage queue managers, queues, channels, listeners, topics, and clusters
• Design and support high availability and disaster recovery setups, including Native HA and appliance HA/DR
• Configure and maintain MQ security: TLS/SSL certificates, channel authentication (CHLAUTH), and authority records (OAM)
• Monitor MQ health and performance, troubleshoot connectivity and message-flow issues, and resolve incidents within SLAs
• Diagnose common MQ reason codes (e.g., 2009, 2035, 2059) and work with application teams to fix client-side issues
• Automate administrative tasks using MQSC, shell, Python, or PowerShell scripts, and support CI/CD for MQ configuration
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and change records; participate in change management and on-call rotation as needed

Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on IBM MQ administration in enterprise environments
• Strong experience with MQ v9.x, and channel configuration
• Solid experience with MQ security, TLS, and certificate management
• Proven HA/DR experience with IBM MQ
• Strong Linux skills and scripting experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, including working directly with client teams
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Experience with IBM MQ Appliances
• Familiarity with related IBM integration products
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace
• Financial services or other regulated-industry experience
• IBM MQ certification
