Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is recruiting for a confidential client. The role leads the design, implementation, automation, and operational management of enterprise cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS with secondary Azure support, including architecture, migrations, security, and cloud operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, automation, and operational management of enterprise cloud infrastructure with a primary focus on AWS and secondary support for Azure
- Drive cloud architecture decisions, IaC adoption, security best practices, and operational excellence
- Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud environments
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- Build and enhance cloud automation for provisioning, configuration management, patching, and operational workflows
- Establish cloud governance, security standards, and operational best practices
- Design and implement disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions
- Design and create reusable cloud platform templates and landing zones
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, networking, and application integration issues
- Mentor junior cloud engineers and provide technical leadership across cloud projects
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Networking, and Application teams
- Take ownership of issues, with a sense of urgency, and using sound judgement to resolve within service levels
Skills
- Must possess at least 7 years of IT experience with broad knowledge and an understanding of IT areas such as: Architecture, Infrastructure setup, management, Operating Systems, Database, various types of Applications, Network, and Cloud implementations
- Must possess at least 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Cloud infrastructure and applications
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components (server, storage, network, security, data, and applications) to deliver end to end AWS cloud Infrastructure solutions
- Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, VPC, Route 53, ALB/NLB, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SSM, RDS, Lambda, Containers (ECS and EKS)
- Working knowledge of Azure services including Virtual Machines, VNETs, Azure Storage, IAM, Backup etc
- Strong automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong networking knowledge with DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls and Hybrid Cloud Connectivity
- Experience with cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and compliance controls
- Knowledge of container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to work independently as well as work well with others in an integrated team environment and must be self-motivated
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, work well with others in an integrated team environment, and must be self-motivated
