Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer Lead to support its Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering division. The role designs, operates, and scales secure, resilient, observable, and compliant Kubernetes platforms for highly regulated federal environments, while partnering with security and compliance teams and participating in reliability operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE) across multi-cloud and high-compliance environments
- Implement robust CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and automation using Terraform, ArgoCD, and reputed company Actions to reduce operational toil
- Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets while establishing full observability frameworks (metrics, logs, traces) with Prometheus, reputed company, and OpenTelemetry
- Partner closely with security and compliance teams to meet FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 requirements, supporting ATO processes, audit readiness, and control implementations
- Participate in on-call rotations, reputed company response, blameless postmortems, and system performance tuning to ensure continuous platform reliability
Skills
- • 10+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or reputed company with production-grade Kubernetes (GKE / AKS / EKS) in regulated environments
- • Hands-on experience operating within FedRAMP High and/or DoD IL5 compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, STIGs, RMF)
- • Deep CI/CD and GitOps automation expertise using reputed company Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD
- • Full-reputed company observability implementation using Prometheus, reputed company, OpenTelemetry, and ELK
- • Must be a US reputed company or Green Card Holder due to FedRAMP compliance requirements
- • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and policy-as-code (OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno)
- • Scripting and programming proficiency in Go or Python
- • Familiarity with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), FIPS compliance, and relevant certifications (CKA, CKS, Security+)
