[Remote] Manager, Security Engineering

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Alkami Technology is a digital sales and service platform provider for U.S. banks and credit unions. The Security Engineering Manager will lead and develop the security engineering team, implement and maintain security tooling, establish metrics, and collaborate across security and technology functions to advance the enterprise cybersecurity program. The role also involves researching emerging threats, supporting oversight activities, and investigating active and potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, mentor, and manage the activities of security engineers and individual contributors for the Alkami Security Engineering team
• Execute and implement security tools stack such as WAF, EDR, NGAV, vulnerability scanning
• Oversee processes for security tool uptime
• Research, develop, and maintain industry knowledge of new tools, techniques, industry best practices (CIS, CSA, NIST), and process improvements for the detection, analysis, and response to new and emerging security threats
• Develop and publish security engineering metrics/dashboards and provide input to departmental KPI's and performance goals
• Participate as required during oversight activities by outside regulators, auditors, and others as appropriate

Skills

• 5+ years of leadership/management experience within the Information Security field
• 8+ years relevant experience in the field
• Security leadership/management experience
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the US for full-time employment
• Cyber Security Certifications one or more: CEH, CISSP, GCIH, GSEC, GCIA,  GMON, OSCP, or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management, etc
• Experience in security device management and SIEM (Splunk) and security tools
• Proficient in Incident Management and Response
• Experience in threat management
• Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to handle high pressure situations
