Overview
We are looking for a professional, highly motivated individual to assist us with researching police incidents and submitting public records requests to law enforcement agencies for our YouTube channel, Code Blue Cam! Applicants should have a keen eye for noteworthy cases, be familiar with public records laws, and be able to communicate professionally with public officials. This is a 100% remote position and you can also set your own schedule so you can work whenever you want! We also give case bonuses! The ideal candidate will commit to 20 hours a week and have previous experience with media research and record requests. Responsibilites : Research police incidents through public sources (news, court records, jail logs, etc.) Draft and submit public records/FOIA requests Track request progress and organize case data Communicate professionally with agencies Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical research standards Identify noteworthy cases and submit concise summaries Track and forward invoices Qualifications : Strong interest in law enforcement, criminal justice, or public records Experience with online research or investigative work Familiarity with FOIA / public records request processes Proficient in reading and understanding police reports and legal documents Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail Organized and able to manage multiple tasks independently Professional, discreet, and able to handle sensitive content Tech-savvy (Google Sheets, email, file management, etc) Must be 18+ with reliable internet access and a commitment to 20 hours a week Job Type: Part-time
