Remote Network Infrastructure Technician
About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Network Infrastructure Technician to support their distributed operations, primarily serving clients in the Miami, Florida region. This role is designed for an individual who can manage and maintain critical network infrastructure from a remote location, ensuring maximum uptime and performance. You will be responsible for the setup, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software, collaborating with on-site teams and customers to resolve technical challenges. Key Responsibilities
Remotely install, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, identifying and resolving root causes proactively. Provide remote technical support to end-users and on-site technicians, ensuring seamless network operations. Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps thoroughly. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and emergency incident response.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Network Technician or similar role, with a strong focus on remote support. In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and network simulation software. Familiarity with various routing and switching protocols. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for remote collaboration. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent experience are highly preferred.
