[Remote] Payroll Tax Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Stanley Black & Decker is hiring a Payroll Tax Analyst to ensure accurate and timely payroll tax compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The role manages tax reconciliations, filings, payments, audits, year-end reporting, and support for equity transactions and mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll tax compliance for our organization
• Manage all aspects of payroll tax compliance for multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Perform reconciliations, filings, and payments for federal, state, and local payroll taxes
• Utilize ADP Smart Compliance to process tax filings and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and HR, to address payroll tax-related inquiries and issues
• Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and reporting
• Analyze payroll tax data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
• Provide support during payroll tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
• Support Equity related transactions
• Provide Support on Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestures

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll tax administration
• Proficiency in ADP Smart Compliance software
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll tax issues
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B, OPT/CPT, TN etc)
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation a plus
• Experience with ADP Global View also a plus
