Spartan Law Group is a growing plaintiff personal injury firm headquartered in Georgia with a multistate litigation practice. We are seeking a Texas-licensed attorney to help grow our Texas litigation team. This opportunity is designed for an attorney with meaningful litigation experience who is comfortable handling depositions, hearings, and mediations and wants to continue developing as a trial lawyer. You will take ownership of your cases while working with experienced trial counsel on strategy, challenging issues, and trial preparation. Dedicated paralegal support and established systems provide the resources to keep your cases moving. Attorneys with plaintiff personal injury, insurance defense, or tort-based civil litigation experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $115,000–$135,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition to salary, attorneys are eligible for performance-based bonuses tied to attorney fee generation. This position targets our strong second-chair litigation tier, with a 5% fee-based bonus opportunity. Responsibilities
Manage a litigation-focused docket of Texas personal injury matters. Evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and case value. Develop and execute litigation strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys. Prepare pleadings, manage written discovery, and draft and argue motions. Conduct and defend depositions. Attend court hearings and scheduling conferences. Prepare clients and cases for mediation and negotiate settlements. Prepare cases for trial and serve as second chair, with opportunities for greater responsibility as your skills develop. Maintain clear, consistent client communication. Direct and collaborate with your paralegal to meet deadlines and advance cases. Participate in regular case reviews and maintain accurate case information in Filevine.
Qualifications
Required: Active Texas law license in good standing Relevant civil litigation experience Experience handling depositions, court appearances, and motion practice Strong legal writing, communication, and organizational skills Ability to take ownership of a docket while collaborating with senior counsel and support staff Ability to work effectively in a remote environment Preferred: Approximately 2–5 years of personal injury, insurance defense, or tort-based litigation experience Mediation and settlement negotiation experience Trial preparation or second-chair trial experience Familiarity with Filevine or similar case management software We value demonstrated litigation ability, sound judgment, and initiative more than a specific number of years in practice.
