Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Work Vista is seeking a Principal Engineer to build the foundational infrastructure for self-driving technology. This role involves architecting and leading the development of scalable, distributed infrastructure services, mentoring engineers, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance autonomous system development.
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the development of highly scalable, distributed infrastructure services running on Kubernetes
- Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for the platform, making high-impact architectural decisions
- Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and technical leadership
- Remain hands-on by building and deploying complex systems, including:
- High-throughput data processing services
- Core compute orchestration and scheduling platforms
- Partner cross-functionally with ML, data, and simulation teams to accelerate autonomous system development Skills
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Strong, hands-on Kubernetes (K8s) experience is required
- Proven track record designing, building, and operating production services at scale
- Demonstrated experience building large-scale distributed infrastructure
- Deep understanding of reliability, throughput, fault tolerance, and scalability challenges
- Expertise in Python, Go, or a similar systems language
- Experience working with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through production Benefits
