[Remote] Project Manager III

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Modea is a technology consultancy focused on improving consumer healthcare experiences through digital solutions. The Senior Project Manager / Delivery Lead will lead complex enterprise web modernization engagements, managing scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, risks, and multi-vendor alignment while advising executive clients. The role also involves guiding agile delivery teams, managing Jira-based plans, overseeing organizational change, and mentoring project management staff.

Responsibilities

• Spot and Fix Risks Early: Find technical and project risks before they turn into real problems. Ask hard questions, address bottlenecks, and build clear backup plans to protect project budgets and schedules
• Guide Clients Through Change: Partner directly with client leaders to help their organizations adapt to new web platforms and tools. Keep everyone aligned on scope, trade-offs, and shifting business priorities
• Oversee Large Enterprise Web Modernization Engagements: Lead teams through major website rebuilds and migrations, including content moves and design system rollouts
• Use Agile Practices: Guide internal teams and clients through agile software development, making sure work is clear and structured
• Manage Plans in Jira: Use Jira and Jira Advanced Plans to map out work across multiple teams, spot team dependencies, track capacity, and give clients accurate completion estimates
• Deliver Quality on Schedule: Work with Product Owners and technical leads to maintain project backlogs, plan software releases, and deliver high-quality work on time
• Control Budgets and Scope: Track project spending and team hours. Take action early if costs start running over budget so projects stay profitable
• Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Lead, align, and motivate cross-functional teams (Solutions Architects, Digital Strategists, Product Designers, Quality Analysts, Data Analysts), to foster a high-performance, collaborative delivery environment
• Communicate Clearly with Executives: Give concise, plain-language project updates and presentations to client executives and senior leaders
• Mentorship & Practice Growth: Elevate internal project management standards by coaching team members, refining delivery frameworks, and sharing best practices across the organization

Skills

• * Required Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strictly required
• * 7+ years of progressive project/product management experience leading complex technology engagements in a client-facing or agency setting
• * Enterprise Modernization Track Record: Proven history of leading large-scale enterprise web redesigns, platform modernizations, or digital transformation initiatives
• * Tooling Proficiency: Deep working knowledge of Jira and Jira Advanced Plans for roadmapping, dependency mapping, and release tracking
• * Agile Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) within modern software engineering environments
• * Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) required
• * Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• * Risk Planning: You can find potential issues across complex technical projects early and know how to fix them before they disrupt work. You are comfortable having direct, honest conversations with clients and internal leadership
• * Client & Change Management: You build trust quickly, navigate client office politics, and help teams adapt to new systems and processes smoothly
• * Jira & Planning Expertise: You have practical experience using Jira and Jira Advanced Plans to create multi-team roadmaps, track dependencies, and manage team workloads
• * Agile Software Development: You know how modern software gets built using lean and agile frameworks. You know how to run sprint planning, backlog refinement, and software releases
• * Technical Understanding: You understand basic modern web setups, enterprise Digital Experience Platforms (DXP)), API integrations, and cloud hosting. You do not need to write code, but you must understand how technical teams build web platforms
• * Clear Communication: You can break down complex technical topics into simple terms that business leaders understand
• * Budget Tracking: You know how to track project costs, spot spending variances, and adjust plans to protect margins
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the duration of the workday
• Individuals must have the ability to constantly operate a computer
• Must have the ability to converse with and exchange information to clients and coworkers both in person and through a computer
• Capable of occasionally transporting items of 10 lbs or less to and from the office
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this position
• Employees may occasionally need to travel to our offices or other locations for items such as training or client visits
• * Agile Certifications: CSM, CSPO, or PMI-ACP certifications
• * Atlassian Admin Experience: Experience configuring Jira and Confluence setups
• * DXP & Sitecore AI Architecture: Experience with Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), specifically Sitecore AI, Headless Sitecore (XM Cloud), and modern frontend or API frameworks
• * Design Systems: Experience managing projects that build and use modular design systems, including atomic design workflows
• * Healthcare Domain: Experience delivering digital solutions within healthcare or other heavily regulated enterprise landscapes
