[Remote] Project Manager – SAP Implementation

Continental is a leading tire manufacturer and industry specialist that develops sustainable, safe, and convenient solutions for automotive and industrial customers worldwide. The Project Manager will lead local end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, managing governance, stakeholders, workstreams, risks, testing, deployment, training, and post-go-live support.

Responsibilities

• Lead local end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects from initiation through post-production support
• Establish local project governance, communication plans, reporting structures, and escalation processes
• Develop and maintain detailed local project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers
• Monitor local project performance and ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities
• Facilitate steering committee meetings and provide executive-level status reporting
• Collaborate with executive sponsors, business leaders, functional teams, IT teams, and external implementation partners
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Drive decision-making and issue resolution across cross-functional teams
• Coordinate functional and technical workstreams including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality,  and others as needed
• Oversee local project deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities
• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and project management best practices
• Manage scope, change requests, and project documentation
• Identify local project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies
• Monitor project quality metrics and ensure deliverables meet business and technical requirements
• Partner with organizational change management teams to support user adoption
• Ensure training plans, communications, and readiness activities are executed effectively
• Support business process transformation and organizational alignment efforts
• Oversee system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment planning
• Coordinate cutover activities and go-live readiness assessments
• Lead post-go-live stabilization efforts and transition to operational support teams

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or 4 years of experience with SAP in lieu of a degree
• 2.+ years of project management experience, including leading enterprise ERP implementations
• 2+ years of SAP/ ERP experience
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi-workstream ERP transformation programs
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall)
• Experience managing budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and vendor relationships
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

• Knowledge of SAP modules including FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, and/or TM
• Experience leading global or multi-site implementations
• Familiarity with data migration, system integrations, testing strategies, and change management frameworks
• 5+ years of project management experience, including leading enterprise ERP implementations
