Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ABB seeks a Sales Applications Specialist to support its local sales team in the NY, NJ market with technical solutions for customers, distributors, and colleagues. The role focuses on profitable sales growth, customer project execution, relationship building, and developing business opportunities for the Electrification Smart Buildings division.
Responsibilities
- Increase sales growth and profitability by developing cost-effective proposals, providing value engineering recommendations, leveraging market pricing insights, and supporting strategies that increase market share and margins
- Manage and execute customer projects by ensuring accurate quoting, order management, invoicing, change orders, expediting, and issue resolution while meeting critical deadlines and project requirements
- Build and grow customer relationships by serving as a trusted escalation point, conducting product and software training, presenting ABB solutions, introducing new products, and generating cross-selling opportunities
- Identify and shape business opportunities through lead tracking and analysis, competitive intelligence, CRM management, specification advocacy, new customer development, and participation in industry organizations to expand ABB's market presence
Skills
- Customer-focused mindset with demonstrated ability to respond quickly to customer needs
- Proficiency in both spoken and written communication, as well as presenting to others
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Candidates already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in electrical industry
- High School Diploma and 15+ years in electrical industry
- Experience working with contractors and channel partners
- Technical application, takeoff, and proposal development experience
- Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools
