[Remote] Senior Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SBI Partners is partnering with an unnamed, growing healthcare organization to hire a Senior Accountant. The role supports month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, lease and purchase accounting, and the integration of acquired businesses.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in the monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Support year-end close and external audit preparation, including schedules, reconciliations, roll-forwards, and workpapers
• Prepare and maintain ASC 842 lease accounting entries and supporting schedules
• Assist with purchase accounting and other acquisition-related accounting activities
• Prepare net working capital calculations and analyze key working capital accounts
• Support financial reporting, account analysis, and research of unusual activity or discrepancies
• Take ownership of recurring responsibilities while supporting special projects and emerging priorities as needed

Skills

• 4+ years of prior experience out of public or corporate accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned accounting responsibilities
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ASC842 entries, purchase accounting, NWC calculations preferred
