[Remote] Senior Accounting Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MCI is hiring a Senior Accounting Analyst to provide financial support to its MarketForce team. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, complex reconciliations, audit support, and analysis of financial data to inform business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Perform complex account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and variance analyses
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing detailed schedules, documentation, and responses to inquiries
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, FP&A, and payroll, to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
• Help maintain and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and financial systems
• Provide insightful analysis on key financial metrics, trends, and business drivers to support management decision-making
• Support system upgrades or transitions, including data validation and testing
• Identify opportunities for automation or process enhancements to improve efficiency and data accuracy
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
• Self-motivated, with a collaborative mindset and desire to contribute to team success
• Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
• CPA or progress toward certification
• Preferably in a BPO, shared services, or fast-paced corporate environment
