Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sysco is the global leader in foodservice distribution. The Senior Analyst, Global Trade Compliance will support the Global Trade Management & Compliance leadership team by executing and monitoring international trade compliance initiatives, analyzing trade data, applying trade regulations, and collaborating with functional teams. The role will also research product classifications and implement automation solutions to improve compliance monitoring and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for savings. Make recommendations to management, as appropriate
- Apply advanced knowledge of import/export regulations and requirements to support business needs
- Research products to ensure timely and accurate U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, partner government agency declarations, and country of origin determinations
- Design and implement automation solutions to increase efficiency and improve monitoring of compliance issues
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years proven experience in trade compliance management; with extensive proficiency in analytics
- A thorough understanding of trade compliance laws and regulations, attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in data management and analysis
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop standards to maintain legal compliance
- Must have ACE, and GTM solutions experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication
- Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented and possess the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
- Travel up to 25 percent of the time
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree and/or 5-10 years' experience in related field
- 5-10 years of experience in International Trade Compliance with (practical) experience with partner government agency import/export regulations
