[Remote] Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (Bicep / Infrastructure as Code)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VistalTech Inc is recruiting a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer for a leading healthcare client. The role focuses on designing and managing Azure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, developing Bicep-based Infrastructure as Code, and enabling secure, reliable, and compliant deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (multi-stage YAML, release management, branching strategies, artifact management)
• Write modular, reusable Bicep templates and modules to provision Azure resources (networking, compute, storage, SQL, Key Vault, and more)
• Migrate existing ARM templates to Bicep
• Automate deployments, operational tasks, and remediation workflows using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Bash
• Implement RBAC, Azure Policy, secrets management, and DevSecOps practices
• Build observability with Log Analytics, Application Insights, and alerting
• Design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient Azure environments

Skills

• 8–10 years of experience in DevOps / cloud engineering, with strong recent hands-on Azure work
• Azure DevOps: YAML pipelines, environments, approvals/gates, automated build-test-deploy
• Bicep: production experience writing modular, reusable templates; ARM template experience
• Core Azure services: VNets, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure Monitor
• Scripting: PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Bash
• Security and governance: RBAC, Azure Policy, Key Vault, managed identities, DevSecOps
• Monitoring: Log Analytics, Application Insights, alerting
• Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries (HIPAA, audit/change control)
• Terraform or other IaC tools
• Azure certifications: AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• GitOps practices and tools
• SQL database migration automation
• FinOps and Azure cost optimization
